中国相继颁布了《烟草专卖法》、《广告法》、《未成年人保护法》、《预防未成年人犯罪法》以及《公共场所卫生管理条例》；开展了无吸烟场所、无吸烟单位、无烟草广告城市的创建和认定工作；对烟草工业企业加大联合重组，严厉打击烟草非法贸易，禁止向未成年人出售香烟，在中华人民共和国领域内禁止使用自动售烟机；力争将2008 年北京奥运会办成无烟奥运会。

    China has  constantly promulgated a series of laws about tobacco forbidding, including "Tobacco Monopoly Law " "Advertisement Law " "Minor Protection Law" "Preventive Law to Juvenile Delinquency" and "The Regulations on the Management of Public Sanitation". The establishment and cognizance of non-smoking places ,non-smoking units and non- tobacco advertising cities have been carried out .To increase uniting and restructing on tobacco industry enterprises as well as cracking down on illegal trade of tobacco.What's more ,the sales of cigarettes to minors and the use of the Automatic Cigarette-selling Machines in The People's Republic of China have been forbidden. We will strive to make the 2008 Beijing Olympics a Smoke-Free Olympic Games.
